Why SVG sellers need a PNG too

Most cut-file listings on Etsy advertise a bundle — SVG, PNG, DXF and often EPS — because buyers have different machines and software. The PNG is the one nearly everyone uses: for print-then-cut, for sublimation, for previewing the design, and for the mockups in your listing photos. Because an SVG is vector, you can render it at any resolution you like with no loss.

What size to export

• 3000–4500 px on the long edge — a safe all-purpose bundle file.
• 4500 px — matches a 15-inch print at 300 DPI, enough for apparel.
• 1000–1500 px — plenty for listing previews and mockups.

Keep the background transparent for anything that will be printed onto a product — a white background prints as a visible white box. You can check a finished file with the transparent PNG checker, and confirm it is big enough for a given print size with the DPI checker.
